Drains are Streams
Here in Aotearoa our freshwater awa (rivers) and roto (lakes) have widespread pollution and declining quality. 45% of our awa are now unsafe for swimming and sadly, our freshwater native fish, including tuna (longfin eel) and many whitebait species, are in serious trouble.
You can help by supporting our project "Drains are Streams" which will enable people to adopt a stream and restore waterways for our most endangered freshwater fish.
